International Women's Day 2011 Deja Vu Vu will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day. To mark the occasion we will be presenting a cabaret with music and comedy acts - followed by our usual 70s and 80s disco with resident DJ Elaine. We have also secured a rare and elusive late licence for the night. Last year this event was completely packed out, so you are strongly advised to come early to ensure you get a seat/table. If you haven't been to our club night before, we will make sure you get a warm welcome and we'll assign meeter - greeters to introduce you. We have three fabulous singing acts each bringing a very different style - Jo, Ide and Sweeney. These women have been playing at Running Amach meet-up group events in Dublin to great acclaim. We will also be welcoming a contingent of the lovely ladies from the Running Amach group who are making the trip North to join us. Our headline act is none other than the amazingly funny, radically irreverent Gemma Hutton who was a massive hit at this years Outburst Festival. Gemma plans to be “the biggest thing to come out of Northern Ireland since Iris Robinson’s legal bill” and has performed all over the UK from the Edinburgh Fringe to Leichester Square Theatre in London. She was recently put on the 2011 “Ones to watch" list by UK Funny Women, and is soon to perform her first London headline gig. More importantly she is a member of Deja vu-vu meetup group!
