Subject: BBC Services in Northern Ireland Date - Time : 1st October 2009 - 18.00 - 20.00 Venue: Cara-Friend, 1st Floor, 9-13 Waring St, Belfast.
The BBC - Audience Council Northern Ireland invite members of the Lesbian & Bisexual community to join them in an informal discussion about BBC programmes and services. The discussion will involve organisations,groups and individules from LGBT community accross Northern Ireland. There will be an opportunity to share your views about the BBC in an informal setting over light refreshments. The BBC wants to understand what you think the BBC does well and where you think it can do better, both on a local & national level.
One of the areas of pirticular interest to the BBC this year relates to the portrayal of different communities, interests and ways of life accross the UK. How well do you feel the rich diversity of life in NI is explored and reflected through BBC programmes and content? Have you any perticular issues about now different communiteis, including the LGBT community is all it diversity, are pertrayed?
