Local Maternity Services (NCT) Meeting 10.30am Ormeau Library (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM)
Have You Recently Accessed Local Maternity Services?
The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety are asking people who have used local maternity services what they think. LASI is keen to ensure that the views of lesbian and bisexual women accessing maternity services are heard.
The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is holding a meeting (Friday 3 September) to get the views of people who have used local maternity services. The meeting will take place at the ORMEAU LIBRARY 10.30 AM-11.30 AM and refreshments will be provided.
Megan Blinn, who is coordinating the meeting, is aware that this timing may be difficult for those who have young children and those who have recently returned to work, but she is keen to include lesbian and bisexual women as much as possible. Anyone who can come along, even for 15 minutes, will be greatly appreciated. Bring your babies or toddlers for as long as they can sustain it! Feedback is due to NCT Head Office by 6 September in order to meet the tight deadline given by the Department of Health.
Please RSVP Megan by email or text: 077 8652 8945. If you know any other lesbian or bisexual women who have accessed local maternity services, please forward this email.
If you cannot make this meeting but wish to be kept informed about the consultation on Maternity Services please contact Deby at LASI - tel 02890249452 / 07597879629 or email
