LASI Board Members
Marian Clare Duggan Marian spent 4 years researching the social and political events which inform and sustain contemporary homophobia in Northern Ireland for her doctorate, which she completed in 2010. She currently lives in Sheffield, where she is a Criminology lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University during the week and a Come Dine with Me addict at the weekend. Marian's first book, "Queering Conflict: Examining Lesbian and Gay Experiences of Homophobia in Northern Ireland" will be published early in Jan 2012.
Laura McMahon is a barrister based in Belfast.
Gail Neill has been working within the community and voluntary sector for 17 years as a youth work practitioner. She has been involved in a number of equality based projects and research with marginalised young women during this time. Gail is currently teaching in UUJ and completing a Doctorate in Childhood Studies at QUB.
Caroline McCord is an Outreach & Development Officer (Job Share) for WSN and is also responsible for member retention and recruitment.
Finola Hunt is a Trainer and Educator, with extensive experience in curriculum development for Belfast Met. She has also been successful in attaining European and statutory funding.

Cara McCann is LASI's Project Coordinator and is from West Belfast. She has a degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Gender Studies. A research area for Cara is lesbian motherhood. Cara has many years' experience within the community development field on a paid and voluntary capacity and has also taught Sociology, Social Policy and Gender studies at Queens University. In her spare time she loves to play guitar, sing and read.

Originally from Craigavon, Orlaith has a degree in Politics and has most recently been working in the Age Sector. She was also a peer support worker with Youth Action and an active member of the Out & About young lesbian and bisexual women’s group. Outside of working hours, if she is not developing theories on how to be the world's best DJ, she can usually be found drawing hedges, imaginary maps of Belfast and pantomime horses. From North Belfast, Natalie has previously worked in the Community Sector in West Belfast. When she's not in the office, Natalie enjoys socialising with friends and soaking up the sun.
