
Lesbian Advocacy Services Initiative is a voluntary community organisation and a Ltd Company with Charitable status. We were formed in 1999 and work across Northern Ireland.
Our Mission Statement:
Lesbian Advocacy Services Initiative (LASI) is an organisation which works to improve the quality of life and enhance the voices of lesbians and bisexual women and our families. We are committed to identifying and addressing discrimination and oppression, and to the promotion of social inclusion.
- We work with government and statutory agencies to ensure that the views and aspirations of our community are communicated to decision and policy makers.
- We lobby government on issues of equality and legislation which will impact on the lives of lesbians bisexual women and our families.
- We provide training and awareness raising in the area of sexual orientation to government, statutory agencies and others. For information on training please contact us.
- We undertake research, and encourage others to undertake research into the lived experience of our community.
- We provide signposting from our web site to supports and services for lesbian, bisexual women and our families.
- We respond to, and facilitate our community to respond to, public consultations which are relevant to our community and we consult with our community to ensure that in our work we reflect the views and aspirations of our community.
